A LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
Welcome to Park Cities Montessori!
I am Carolyn Parker, head of school. We are so glad you are a part of our school family or looking to join us.
We are a family owned and operated school so you will get to know my husband Brad, and two sons, Rhys and Drew very well!
Park Cities Montessori is a lifelong dream come true. Serving children and their families is my passion and at Park Cities Montessori your family is our family.
After serving children and families as a teacher and elementary school assistant principal I stayed home with my two boys and met their needs through Montessori homeschooling.
After assessing the need in the community for more Montessori based schooling, Park Cities Montessori was born.
Park Cities Montessori is committed to the highest standards in Montessori education. Each classroom is led by a trained Montessori Guide and staffed with assistant guides that have the basics or beyond in Montessori training as well.
During the early years children are developing basic trust in themselves and in their environment, which will affect them for the rest of their lives. Park Cities Montessori takes this very seriously. Children and their ideas are valued, respected, and appreciated.
Children are encouraged to be children and explore the world around them. We believe all children can and will learn at their own pace. Learning is never forced upon a child. We ensure that Park Cities Montessori will be a place children are eager to come to each day. All members of Park Cities Montessori have these values at the forefront of their intentions at all times.
Maria Montessori said it best herself, “Play is the work of the child.” At Park Cities Montessori play is the center of our day. Children participate in the Montessori work cycle for a majority of the day and the other parts of the day consist of free play outdoors as much as possible.
